Health Services
Health Services provides health-care, disease prevention and treatment services to eligible Yukoners. Its goal is to help communities, families and individuals achieve and maintain the best possible health.
Health Services operates health facilities throughout Yukon. The Hospitals in Dawson City, Watson Lake, and Whitehorse are managed by the Yukon Hospital Corporation.
Community Health Centres provide a wide range of health and medical services, delivered chiefly by community health nurses.
Health Services also provides vital statistics, communicable disease control, health promotion, dental health, environmental health, hearing services and mental health services.
Chief Medical Officer of Health
The office of the Yukon Chief Medical Officer of Health is responsible for the Department of Health and Social Services' legislated responsibility to protect and promote the public's health in a variety of areas.
Chronic conditions support program
The Chronic Conditions Support Program (CCSP) provides collaborative chronic care and self-management support to Yukoners living with a chronic condition.
Chronic disease program
The Chronic Disease and Disability Benefits Program provides benefits for Yukon residents who have a chronic disease or a serious functional disability.

Physicians and nurse practitioners across Canada can now provide medical assistance in dying.
Skin & Wound Community of Practice
Yukon’s Chronic Disease Management Advisory Committee has endorsed a plan that will see Yukon adopt and implement British Columbia’s province-wide best practices for would care.
Territorial Health Investment Fund (THIF)
Health Canada provides the Territorial Health Investment Fund (THIF). The THIF is available to the 3 territories until March 31, 2021.
