Child Care Services' programs promote the development of accessible, affordable quality child care for families in all Yukon communities.

The unit provides administrative, consultative and support services, and licenses child care facilities to ensure they follow legislated standards. The unit achieves its goals by working in partnership with centre directors, child care workers and day home operators.

Child care subsidy
The Child Care Subsidy Program assists families who need child care for their children and may not be able to afford the cost of child care.

The Early Childhood Education Bursary supports people who live or have lived in Yukon to study early childhood education.
Early Learning and Child Care Bilateral Agreement
Funding from the bilateral agreement will benefit Yukon children, parents, licensed child care owners and early childcare care educators.
